For Us, It was more than just finding something to eat, it was about food that felt like home, reminded us of our culture, and still kept us feeling good.
Whether you’re a student away from family, a busy professional, or someone longing for the nostalgic taste of mom’s cooking, GharSe is here to bring that comfort back to your life.
In Hindi, “Ghar Se” means “from home,” and that’s exactly the feeling we want to bring with every meal.
WHY
GHAR SE?
COMMUNITY
OUR
MISSION
With GharSe, we’re building a space where people can rediscover and cherish the flavors of home, connect with like-minded individuals, and support the local tiffin providers who make it all possible.
Every tiffin we deliver isn’t just a meal; it’s a piece of someone’s story—a reminder of home, tradition, and the warmth of belonging. Together, we’re creating a community that values care, authenticity, and the joy of sharing food that feels like family.
To bring the comfort of home-cooked happiness to everyone, while empowering local tiffin providers to thrive and build a stronger community of care, culture, and connection.
I’m a designer and tech enthusiast who finds joy in life’s simple pleasures.
Born and raised in Gurgaon, India, I’ve always had a nature to strive for more and question the “why” behind everything. My journey in Canada began at the University of Waterloo, and it was nothing short of transformative.
Coming to a new country with no expectations, I pushed myself into every uncomfortable experience to grow and adapt. For the first two years, I couldn’t shake the habit of converting every expense into rupees—a constant reminder of how out of reach everything felt.
Amidst managing studies, work, and a new lifestyle, I discovered tiffin services. These services became more than just a convenience; they provided a sense of home and discipline during a time when I needed it the most.
GharSe is the byproduct of this change in mindset. It’s my way of contributing to the ecosystem of tiffin services in the KW region. While I may not have the skill to cook, I’ve channeled my energy and passion into what I do best—designing and building solutions to make life easier for others.
I'm a project manager and tech enthusiast who enjoys helping others.
I was born in Kutupalong Refugee Camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, where my family sought refuge after fleeing persecution in Rakhine State, Myanmar. The camp offered safety but presented significant challenges, including limited resources and opportunities. Seeking a better future, my family resettled in Canada when I was four years old.
My childhood in Canada fostered a love for sports, particularly basketball—something uncommon in my cultural background—which became an outlet for connection and growth. As I advanced through my schooling at the University of Waterloo, my focus shifted to academics, where I discovered my passion for supporting marginalized communities.
I have dedicated myself to organizing programs that foster inclusion, education, and opportunities for newcomers and underprivileged families.
Today, I channel my experiences, skills, and passions into initiatives that bring people together, like Gharse. I believe everyone should have access to home cooked meals just like mom used to make, no matter how far away they are from home.
OUR STORY
It all started with the search for something more than just a meal—
Something that brought us comfort, reminded us of home, and still fit into our busy lives.
But as we relied on these services, we realized there was so much potential in this ecosystem. Tiffin providers were doing incredible work, yet they lacked the support and visibility they deserved. We saw an opportunity to contribute—to help build the infrastructure that would allow these local nurturers to shine while making it easier for people like us to find food that truly matter.
GharSe was born from that vision: a platform where home-cooked meals and the people behind them come together in a way that benefits everyone. For us, it’s not just about food—it’s about creating a community, celebrating culture, and building a future.
